1995 Rodeo, OBD 2 connector whereabouts

I cannot find the connector for OBD. I thought it was by the left driver side kick panel. Please help. I am blowing lots of black smoke and I would like to scan it and see if a sensor is out of whack. Thanks, Ed

You couldn't find the OBD II connector because your vehicle doesn't have one. The Data Link connector is located under the left hand side of the instrument panel. You will have to connect a jumper wire between data link connector terminals 1 and 3 and then with the key in the "ON" position, count the CEL flashes (i.e. FLASH, FLASH, pause, FLASH, FLASH, FLASH = Code 23).
