Since I am an avid water skier and snow skier I have a set and have used them for about two years now. The only damage they have sustained was courtesy of the washing machine. They do exactly what they were designed to do along with my Husky Liners, keep the water where it should be. They are hot though compared to the factory cloth due to the fact that being waterproof they don't breath.

Which covers are you talking about?

Factory Nissan? $215+
Wet Okole? $600+
Costco $20+

I would not trade my Wet Okole's for the world!

Thats some fat coin for seat covers but Ive sat on Rick's and they seem pretty nice. I have the Nissan ones and they'll do me just fine.

Yes, Rick's seat covers are nice, but I would never, ever spend that much money for seat covers. Too many other things I would rather have.

The Nissan covers only come in one color combination, but unlike the Costco covers the black is in the appropriate place (outside borders) and the grey is in the main section as the primary focal color. IMO, this looks FAR better than black as the main color and grey as trim. However, the Nissan seat covers don't fit well and come undone all the time. Some have fixed this problem with zip ties and such. The Costco covers don't fit well either, but the Wet's fit very well. Both the Nissan covers and the Wet's have seperate headrest covers...the Costco ones do not, so you better hope the position necessary for the covers works for your body size. Not sure about the Costco covers, but the Nissan's have thin padding (1/8"?) and the Wet's have about 1/4".

Anyway, despite their fit shortcomings, I think the Nissan covers are the best bet unless you have tons of extra money to burn. Whatever you do, DO NOT get the Wet covers if you like to eat in your truck; especially the yellow ones. Seeing Rick's I can also say that coloring from clothing quickly sets in too; most notably jeans.

To add to ChuckH's comments

I got them for $300 because someone was selling their X! I wouldn't have paid $600 either! That would buy me a nice Momo or Recaro seat!

The padding on the bottom is 3/4" thick and 1/4" on the back! The covers fit a 100% better then the stock Nissan ones! My girlfriend has the Costco covers and they are pretty damn nice for $19.00 They fit pretty securely and look half way decent! We rode aboot 500 miles this weekend and I would recomment them to someone on a budget!

Talking Nissan Xterra Neoprene Seat Covers

Hey guys how are you doing today? Well my name is giggy and I am a new member to the forum. I am replying to the post in regards to the neoprene or waterproof seat covers. I got mine from this company in phoenix called Legacy, and they custom make them for any year, make, and model. I love them so much that I am going to get some for my wifes Nissan Frontier.
*Their seat covers start at $90 for the pair
and the custom covers are $205 in neoprene.
Check out their page if you would like www.legacyseatcovers.com

I paid about $500 for my front and rear set of neorene seat covers for my frontier and I love them:smoka:

Well Dave

The neoprene seat covers are made out of the same material that they use to go scuba diving in and they feel great. Moreover, they are water and stain proof. I suggest you go on their site and check it out. I would not trade them for the world. They are worth every penny and then some!

I've seen enough fast food stains on our club members seats to know they're not "stain proof".

But they are

Well Schludwiller
I really don't know what kind of neoprene seat covers your club has bought but I have bee able to oil stains out of mine. My dad is a mechanic and whenever he uses the truck you can only imagine.
All you need is a cloth that does not blead with a little lacquer thinner and they are spotless. Tried that and let me know what happens.:sun:

I didn't mean you can't "remove" stains. You made it sound like you just wipe off whatever falls on there and it's gone like water off a ducks back.

whatever, the nissan neoprene seats stain really easy, and the stains do not remove that well. hell i've tracked mud onto them from the local mudhole that i couldn't get out and i washed them that night. the black area of the seats don't seem to stain at all it's the lighter colored grey area that looks God awful. costco or wal-mart next time for me. but hey that's just MY OPINION so don't rip me for it, they might be the best thing since sliced bread for you i'm just relaying my own experience.

Ok, this Giggy chick/dude, WHATEVER is only here selling his/her ITS product. More than likely IT doesnt even own an X.

What a crock of feces. Gimme a break.

As far as the Nissan neoprene covers, I have em, like em, love em, but they do throw heat back at ur ass, and give you a sweaty bum. If you dont wash em, after sittin on em for a month or so in the summer, you get a fresh interior smell of dirty feet.

BTW- To get mild stains out of the gray part, I just put a bit of detergent on the spot and rubbed it into the neoprene a bit with an old toothbrush and some cold water. It was katsup and it came out for me.
