Little info needed

Well I got good news and bad news. Bad news is I had my Jimmy stolen on June 25th, right out of my driveway. Good news is they found it 2 wks later. Its in the repair shop now getting some things fixed on it. Soooooooo now I am looking for a car alarm that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and is reliable. I have searched and found that there are many on the market to choose from. I figured that with the wealth of knowledge on here somebody could point me in the right direction. Thanks for any and all info.

Re: Little info needed

I went with a Viper 791XV after my stereo was stolen. It was the best system available 6 months ago, and if you have any mechanical aptitude you can get one off ebay for cheap and install it yourself. www.bulldogsecurity.com has all the wiring info you'll need except the neutral safety switch, which is by the tranny. However, if you really think it's going to get ripped off again get it installed professionally and they'll cover any costs if it's stolen again. If you want to use the remote start you'll need the bypass module for the factory anti-theft. I think Viper has an optional starter kill for added security too.
