Yes or No?

im still wanting a new car, the cavalier just has to much of a boy racer feel to it for me. My gf still wants to buy it and she needs a new car bad. So here is what i am looking at.

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ref=srl#vdptop

the sales man says he can sell it for $19500.00 plus all the extras. I can put 2 grand down on it, and credit is pretty good, 716 is my credit score.

Is this a deal or not? Can someone of you people give me the good and the bad of the WRX's please.

Check out kbb.com for a fair price, but it looks like a good deal to me.

Re: Yes or No?

Well, if you don't want to look like a boy racer then I think a WRX is the wrong car for you.

Re: Yes or No?

Pretty clean, and should serve you well in inclement weather.

I actually disagree with the 'boy racer' assessment. It's a more 'mature' car that requires a higher starting price to keep the wannabes away. Although some who have it are indeed 'boy racers', generally most are enthusiasts.

Re: Yes or No?

looks like a great deal to me.

the pros are

4 doors, turbo engine, decent power potential, decent interior, and built good.

the cons are

4 doors, laggy turbo, small tires and wheels, and most important of all... the glass tranny. and its somewhat hard to work on.

Re: Yes or No?

hmm after doing some research, glass tranny is no joke. What kinda warranty does Subaru offer on its cars?

Re: Yes or No?

no apparently they break very easily and are not cheap to repair. On top of that Subaru doesnt like to fix them, often blaiming it on abuse or aftermarket mods.

Re: Yes or No?

it all depends on the dealers... here in the metro new york area, they're pretty cool with stuff like that, and i know people who are on their 3rd tranny free of charge.
