problems...1-10

wow...id have to say im not likin' this car
i have a '95 w/ the 2.0L auto...

i cant believe all of its problems...
1. it heats up, so i get the JOY of riding around town with my heat on! and the past week its been about 100 degrees! ohh and it only works on high! i replaced that switch twice and the line leading to it as well (since it was melted)
2. though i fixed the heating problem (ha). flushed the radiator, replaced the t-stat and the upper radiator hose (it blew up!) .... nope fixed nothing. However im thinking the guy who owned it before me messed up putting the water pump on so one day ill get to resealing that (does it have a gasket or just silicone?)
3. when i thought i fixed it, i ran the ac worked great. today i tryed it and its got nothing! no cold air at all! mabye a fuse? we'll see
4. now the tranny starting to stift real hard from 1st to 2nd. hasnt slipped (yet)
5. no tilt wheel? common
6. needs breaks. (not neglect, they just started to sqeak)
7. I STALL all the time. everyday at least 2-10 times.
8. well since she stalls, the starters getting weak so it wont catch sometimes. (nots of angry people behind me )
9. no dash lights. the switch went bad, i think
10. tiny back seat

I know im complaining alot, but i have to say its never left me stranded (yet) and it gets everyone to work and home. soo its not all that bad.
anyone have any ideas on any of my problems (other than design flaw i.e. the back seat and tilt wheel) i thank you very much for help!

Be aware that if you don't have dash lights you may not have tail lights.

I'll help out as much as I can.

Let's see..

1. What do you mean it heats up? Temp guage pegged?

2. there's just a gasket, and you put some gasket sealer on it.

3. Your accumulator probably has a hole rusted through it (very common problem.)

4. Another common problem, TSS (turbine shaft sensor) Is almost 99% of the time the culprit.. (the thing that mounts ontop of the transmission)

5. I do believe no contour was offered with tilt steering.

6. Basic maintence, not the cars fault.

7. Check for vacuum hoses crack/disconnected. Clean the MAF, IAC, and replace the PCV valve.

8. how do you know it's getting weak, are you sure it's not just the battery or a faulty altenator not charging your battery?. A bad altenator could also be the culprit of your stalling issue.

9. check fuses. Does your clock work? stereo work? map lights work?

10. It's a compact sedan.
