Sold the hatch, in comes the rex

Ok so i managed to sell my hatchcrap two days ago for 2500 bones...yes you heard me 2500 bones to some young girl who actually had knowledge of fourth gen greatness and was in love with the gay purple color. I bought the hatch 2 years ago for 1100 and sold it for 2500 . With that under my belt i just picked up this 91 crx si with a freakin mint interior/ seats, great body, great engine, but with shitty paint. I plan on tearing down all the rice sideskirts and wing bullshit before it gets painted and just plan on rolling in a mint 91 si.

The paint is gone but whatever ill roll with it for now.

Please dont bash me about the rice on the body....IT WILL COME OFF..before it gets painted. Ive had enough rice to last a life time trying to dericify my old hatch and now some on my rex. --F*CK RICE. Its also lowered on Neuspeeds/ kybs all around.

The car had every single maintenance record since 1990 and all the original manuals and warranty info. The interior is so damn mint i almost feel like i should get arrested for sitting on the comfy seats.

I killed the bra right before i drove the car off the guys lot. I ripped it off harder then my girls bra.

What the hell are those poufy ass pillows on th seats, but anyway..dear god that is clean man, and the paint isnt even all that bad, if you wanted to you could save it..wing is a little funny, but other than that, very very nice find man.

The poofy pillows were there for looks and were probably meant to help your neck...ripped them off as soon as i got on the freeway to go home.

Goddamn, the difference between my old POS 89 STD and this 91 rex is immense. The rex feels smooth as hot butter...and after driving my slow ass D15 powered civic the A6 is a world of difference. I can actually hear myself think on the highway and dont have to hold the steering wheel like a 2 ton anvil like my old STD.

great lookin Si man, I gotta replace a few things before my interior looks that nice but its gettin there. someone spilled paint on the lockbox so i need to find a good one. i need to post up pics of the car and new motor. The a6 was such a fun motor to beat on. it really could take a lot. when i got the car they guy threw in neuspeeds and tokico blues cuz he took them off since it rode low. im wondering what i should put on with my b16 setup so it rides higher and a little stiffer, the neuspeeds are nice i just think i need coilovers but i dont kno much about suspension.

well im jealous. paint isnt that bad, i wouldn't even worry about it, just get a swap into it and build it up and the car would be the shit. i'm not a big fan of body kits, but the skirts and rear lip arent too bad, or maybe I just can't see how ugly they are in the pics lol.

Thanks...The paint is pretty much gone in some places. The sides of the car are good but the hood, roof, and sunroof are cooked. Im not gonna worry about it immediately though..but it is beyond rescuing.



The car had no head unit when i bought it but lo and behold i openned the rear cargo cover and found a nice cd player off of like a 98 accord that i decided to use. I think it adds to the stock, original feel. Bought a harness for it from the yard, got the code free of charge from the dealer, and suprisingly the wiring colors pretty much matched up for the rex and accord harness. Once the code was out of the way i installed it...

anyway the car is nice. thats the clear coat coming off the hood and roof, sucks, typical honda thing for sunbeaten cars. no biggie.

i like the radio too, i was looking for a oem honda cd player for my crx last year.

get a carbon fiber hood, then you wont have to paint it since its already dark, and you can shave like 10 pounds i guess. real nice find, i'd love to find a y49 in mint condition
