im so lucky
i was driving on my way to work today, so im in traffic so my idel'ed dropped down to 600rpms. so im waiting in traffic and i hear a snap then my car started to shake a little bit. so i turned it off and pushed my car to the side of the road, i popped off the top timing cover and seen that i had a chunk of my timing belt was missing but it wasnt fully snapped. So i called up my dad and towed it home i took the bottom belt cover off and i seen that i snapped my B/S belt so i was like well i must of skipped timing, so i put on the new belt thinking well i prolly have some bent vavles. NO everything was fine, i think i lucked out due to i wasnt tacking high and i was only at 600rpms sitting still.

Re: im so lucky
Tits
Your lucky it didn't get wrapped around your timing belt and skip timing a few teeth like it usually does to everyone else. Its more than likely was because you were only at an idle like you said. Time for a balance shaft removal kit. lol
