Floor Jack and Jack Stand Locations?

I have a '94 Altima. My Hayne's manual only adresses the factory jack locations. Are there preferred locations for use of a floor jack and jack stands. I have dinged the front using ramps (still sick) and want to move to a less destructive lift for fluid changes.
