help with code 0443 purge valve?

i have a 1999 silverado and it is giving me a code of 0443 with the obdii scanning tool. it reads "evaporative emmission control system purge valve circuit malfunction. does anyone know how to fix this and how difficult it would be? the truck runs fine, so how serious is this issue?
