ABS light come on and stay on.
I have a 2000 Plymouth Voyager. Ever seens I change my car battery I start
to have this ABS light on in the dashboard. I never have this problem before the car has about 49,000 miles. I tried to check it with an OBD II tester and the results all PASS . The brake fluid is in the proper level. I tried to pull the ABS breaker one at a time and the light is still on. I ran the car for more than 100 miles and a don't fill any braking problem. I tried to check the ABS sensor at the front axle but I did not see any wires or sensor. I appreciate any info thanks. |

Quote:
ABS light on you will have no ABS brakes. OBD11 scanner will not get the job done on testing. You will need a ABS capable scanner to check the ABS system. Check all fuses and wiring plugin and make sure the battery voltage and charging system is good first thing. MT

Re: ABS light come on and stay on.
I second what MT 2500 posted. To clarify one thing - you will be wasting all the money you spent to have an ABS system until the light goes out but, the normal brake system will still work just fine.
Have you tried disconnecting the battery again? Other than that I would take it to a reputable shop with the correct scanner. Keep posting. |
