Looking to get a Neon

I've heard these cars are problems. Any info on the 97 2dr with SOHC? Lot of problems? Common issues?

Also, he did state the head gasket and timing belt have been replaced--car has 88,000 miles on it right now. From what I have seen, those are the two biggest problems, right?

Re: Looking to get a Neon

yes there are issues if you take neglect of maintance sanme as any car.

the big issue with 1st gens were the head gaskets, but as you stated its already been changed. Other issuse are just little things like making sure you keep your tires balanced to prevent thge 72 mph wheel shake.
