Driving to mich from IL

Like it says, in a month I will have completed my FMIC, full exhaust, aftermarket suspension, new tires, new wires, newplugs... I might need to find a place to store it in michigan for college cuz my parents suck cock, It will still only have 390-450's on it until I get back on break to buy dsmlink and bigger injectors and the FPR. I guess my real question is, Will I be doing any damage to my car driving at 70 mph all the way on the no tune on the evo3 turbo? And how can I tell if I am running lean or rich? which would be better to make that long haul back and forth just once

Re: Driving to mich from IL

Remember few week back, I was drove from Chicago IL to MS ( 15-16 hours drive ), Im doing 70mph to 80mph, and my car have transfer case leak , If I knew my car have transfer case leak Im gonna doing 10mph on high way, , just stop your car every rest area, and pop the hood to let all the hot air out, I was doing that back then, every one alway ask me " so some one come and pick you up ?" they though I pop my hood cause my car broke, just pop the hood cause I love the car.

Re: Driving to mich from IL

As long as you keep the car in closed loop mode you should be fine, that is of course if you're running 450's. If you're running 390's, I wouldn't even move the car.

Re: Driving to mich from IL

Well the stock ECU thinks is running 450's so you'll be running lean as shit.

Re: Driving to mich from IL

WHy would the ecu think IM running lean if it is the awd 1 auto ecu? all auto's came with 390's so it shouldn't be thinking it is 450's

Oh I was under the impression you had a manual ECU. You'll be fine, but youll easily outflow your injectors, stay off the turbo. It's hard I know, I haven't boosted in 2 weeks.

I haven't boosted in 2 months soon though...

EDIT: Aaron maybe you could sell some of the sand you have stored in your vagina, and use the money to buy some injectors. If you don't want to fork over the cash for link why don't you buy ted's afc and 560's?

Re: Driving to mich from IL

Meh, Becuase I rather mod once and mod right.... I really don't have time to fiddle with tuning until winter break when I get back... I just want something to last until then.... By then I should have cash for a timing job and some cams... BUt for now, I just need to make sure my suspension doesn't kill me which it wont (thanks to you) my exhaust wont fall off, (again wont thanks to you) now I need to take care of that axel.... then winter break, I will be ready for cams, Dsmlink, 880's, belts... (not looking forward to that) then spring break its time for a paint job.... then the car is done... I need to get that frount mount on too before I leave.
