Want to go faster will this help?

I was looking into BAS proformance chips. I dont know if im reading it right.. All i have to do is put the chip in?? with no other mods and it will help my HP? How hard is it to put in?? I have taken the dash apart to replace the lights in it.. is it any harder than than??
its a 325ix

the computer for the e30 is in the glovebox, open the glove box and look on the roof of the glovebox, in other words it is in the top part of the glove box. the e30 and most all other bmw's are controlled in many ways by the computer. putting the chip in will increase your hp by 14hp or so and your torque by some as well. you can add other things too such as a free flow exhaust to reduce back pressure, or allow more air into the engine with a larger throttle body or kone air filter.

I guess my real question is.. Is this going to hurt my engine or tranny?? its an AWD 2 door. I just dont want to blow her up

i do not believe it will hurt your engine or your tranny, the chip simply changes the software for your engine, just changing the way the engine operates, no sure what it exactly changes, but i think it may make things more efficient, i have read many people who have added new ecu to their cars, and they have never had any problems, and i am sure that 14 more hp and the equivelent torque wont hurt your tranny.
