Exclamation JDM H22A issues

Hi. I recently swapped a JDM H22A into my 93 Prelude and I've been having issues. Most are fixed, but one major issue is how the car runs. Note I haven't made a attemp to drive the car yet b/c I am still waiting on the auto shop to send me the right axles. When I start the car it boggs. By that I mean it's running like straight ass. It idles at about 2k and when i step on the gas the rpm's drop. I set the fuel at about 34psi and 38psi w/o/t which is about where it was in my last H22 swap (USDM). I went to set the timing and I couldn't see the marking near the flywheel area. I fully advance timing and retarted it and I still couldn't see it. I am wondering if maybe it's not TDC? Could that be why I see no mark or it bogs. Also I am using a USDM P28 virgin Ecu. Since the Ecu is not chiped would it be giving me this problem? I changed the oil to Royal Purple (what i always used) and change the wires to Ngk's and I'm using NGK iridium plugs. This motor came from a automatic car. I just swapped on my 5spd trans. Could the injectors be diffrent and maybe that's another issue? I never let the car run over 10mins since I've been having this issue. I only ran the motor 3 times. I am throwing one code. The code appears to be a 20 or 22. I'm thinking it's a 20 b/c before when i threw a code you could see the quick blink. Now it looks vert faint, which leads me to believe it might be a 20 which i have no ideal exactly what it could be then. Any insight on this issue would be greatly appreciative. I didn't have any issues with my last swap, but maybe that's b/c it was a USDM H22 swap?
Also tonight I did a compression test and it read has follows #4 cyclinder = 215 - #3 cylinder 240 - #2 cylinder 240 - #1 cylinder = 215
Please help
THANK YOU

Re: JDM H22A issues

It's possible that your timing is off. I'm sure part of the reason it's not running right is because you're using the wrong ecu. Running a stock sohc ecu (and a 1.6L one at that) won't allow the engine to run anywhere near it's optimal performance. Try pulling the check engine light code again, and find out what it is, don't just guess. And as long as you were using prelude or accord injectors, that won't be a problem.
