sanding body
Is it necessary to scuff up the body before primer? Do you have to do this? I sand off the mold lines and all of course. I'm going to paint my Vertex RX-7 soon and I need to know. Sometimes I use the Testors 2 part lacquer system and its not even necessary to sand or prime at all, just color and clear. Thanks for clearing this up for me! "Please excuse the pun"

Re: sanding body
I usually sand it very softly with very fine steel wool. It works great and primer adheres better.

Re: sanding body
I do, primer does adhere better like cold fire stated. You don't have to do it, but its recommended. What ever floats your boat buddy.

Re: sanding body
Thanks for the great information guys! Now, if I can only figure out how to paint those damn RX-7 tail lights, I'll be in business.
