Thumbs down (88 CRX DX) *Motor Knocks* whats up?

hey whats up.I just sold my crx hf to my brother and im looking to get another Rex cause i love these cars....so on my car searches i came across a 1988 crx DX for sale.

The body looks to be in ok shape..needs a few molding pieces and a paint job!

But here is the problem! he he he

The kid said that the motor knocks and he doesnt know what it is.But he was talking about how he beat this and that car with it so i figured he probably beat the hell outta the car..but anyways..i had him start it up to hear for myself...

So he did...the car started right up like a champ..but the motor has a constant knock(as if you were lightly tapping your knuckles on a table) lol, what could that be (bent valve, rod>>????) he wants $500 but i talked him down to $300

And just for the hell of it i popped back the carpet and checked computer diagnostic led...and it blinked 7 and 17 i think..not 2 sure//cant remember, but i looked it up and it was the (-incorrect throttle angle- one!!!) and (-fuel injector- one)

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE TO WHAT YOU THINK COULD BE THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!! AND SHOULD I BUY IT!!!!!!! THANK YOU, i really appreciate the Help

budd
