Question N1 downpipe options

Was checking out NOPI and saw they have two N1 dowpipes; one they say is for the GST and one for the GSX. According to their specs the one for the GSX has a slightly larger diameter. Does anyone know if there is any reason the GSX version would not work on a GST? Is it just that it no longer becomes a "direct" bolt-on?

TIA

Erik

Re: N1 downpipe options

No idea why the difference of diameter pipe, but AWD will not work on FWD and vice versa.

Re: N1 downpipe options

Hey Thor, thanks for the reply. Not to be a PITA but can you tell my why it won't work? I'm just curious to understand what the difference is between AWD and FWD when it comes to the downpipe.

Pipes are shaped and routed differently.

Re: N1 downpipe options

Im not sure but I'm just taking a shot in the dark here, but I think the AWD downpipe has to be able to clear the transfer case and driveshaft and what have you, where the FWD doesn't.

Re: N1 downpipe options

Different drivetrains/axle set ups= different bends/pipe routes

Re: N1 downpipe options

I would also check with maybe megan racing. Because I know before most pipe shad a problem fitting properly and megan was actually working to resolve that issue.

Re: N1 downpipe options

I think that was 2g AWD only. We had no problems with my buddy Mike's megan DP.
