6th gen/Check Engine Light/Mntnc. Req lights..wtf?!?!
Today out of nowhere I first noticed my maintenance light come on and blink as normal when you start the car but it kept on blinking for like 10 seconds...then it stops....well later on today the check engine light came on and it stays on. I have 34,7xx miles on the car and it hasn't been abused. I have had a short ram intake and cat back exhaust for the last 2 months and no probs but those are the only mods I've done to the car. The manual says the check eng. light refers to an emission problem? I think it's just a preset time to go off for some check up? Anyone know? Please help me so I don't have to go deal with the damn dealership. Thanks.

I dont know about the check engine light, but I know that the maintenace light is set to come on every so many miles to remind you to have your car brought in for service. It doesnt mean that anything is wrong, its just a reminder. You can shut that light off by doing something with the trip odometer button, check your manual. I clear mine every time it happens, but I cant remember how each time so I have to keep checking my manual
Good luck with the check engine light though

The same thing happened to me today.
I have approx. 57,000 miles. I called my local Honda service and they said it could be anything from a loose fuel cap to a bad sensor. They said I should bring it in so they can run their diagnostics on it. |

I am having the same problem. My check engine light came on and I had the diagnostics run on it and they said it was bad forward O2 sensor or a fuel pressure regulator, I changed them both and the light came back on, then they said it was the rear O2 sensor and I changed that. Light came back on again. The only thing wrong is it is idleing very low at stop of in park. I don't know what the heck to do next. I have spent over 400.00 nobody seems to know what is wrong.
