Cool Driving Ambition book

Hello again, i was just wondering of the people who bought the standard edition of the driving ambition book from amazon, did the book come with a 860mm x 590 mm full colour poster of a McLaren F1, which on the reverse shows the full chassis number and racing history. Also did the end covers of the book have reproductions of an F1 chassis plate and the track record plate found in every F1? thanks Brad

Re: Driving Ambition book

I've bought 4 copies of the standard edition - only one through Amazon. All contained the poster. As for the track record and chassis plate reproductions, you might find those slightly disappointing as they are simply printed on the inside front cover (chassis plate) and inside of the back cover (track record plate), not an actual metal plate like I believe you'll find in the limited edition versions.

Re: Driving Ambition book

One original copy, in the wrapper, to save for when I am old and gray. One "shelf copy" that I've had just as long which is really showing it's age these days. Another copy to replace my shelf copy when it finally falls apart.

The final one I bought for a friend who had purchased his own, but it had the binding detach from the back cover when it was still fairly new. I took his busted one in return and plan to use it for scans at a later date.

What's wrong with 4? I bought just as many. And I gave 1 away to someone whom I thought really deserved it. I plan on giving one to my future progeny.

The 6th one I got cheap and I use that for reference so I don't worry about getting oils and smudges on the pages. And I can break the binding to scan images. I plan on passing this one among car enthusiast friends so they can read it and get it back to me whenever.

Re: Driving Ambition book

I got about 6 as well...they make excellent gifts! I am down to just two now. One for use/wearing out, and one preserved for god knows what.

Re: Driving Ambition book

I have the limited one and the standard. Limited one was a beauty, and what I'm basing my book off of for quality
