Micromesh kits?

Hi guys

I want to buy a kit a Micromesh, containing soft touch pad from 1500 too 12000.

Someone can tell me if those pads can be used over and over or generally, after a kit or two, I need to throw them to the garbage?

Thanks!

Re: Micromesh kits?

From what I've seen most poeple can use the lower grits for around 5-6 kits. the higher grits (5000+) last a lot longer due to less usage.

Re: Micromesh kits?

If you wet sand with water which has a small amount of dish soap diluted in it, it will prevent the pads from clogging and increase their lifespan.

Re: Micromesh kits?

As Ray mentioned, wetsanding w/a small amount of detergent helps. Also clean the pads or cloths after use and let them dry. They last a long time w/proper care.
