W220 Command system

I have a 2000 S500 with the Command HeadUnit. I need to know if I can change the headunit with a one from a 2006 model with siruis and get an attena and stuff for the nav and radio ect to work. I know I would have to change the wood but could I do this and have it work without changing much.
Thanks
John

Re: W220 Command system

It is not possible to go from a 2000 to a 2006 head unit the audio components are linked through a fiber optic cable and in 2004 the system has been change. the two systems are not compatible. even if it was possibe the 2006 command is about 4500 the navi control unit and sirius control unit will cost about 3500. and a new wood grain is about 2000 plus labor.

Re: W220 Command system

If I trade my 2000 S500 in on a 2003 S500 could I replace that command system with an 04 command with a SAT button then have it wired for sirius. Would that work???????

Re: W220 Command system

you have to already have the sat button on your command to get sirius. If you dont already have that button you cant upgrade to another command. you would have to get a sirius radio with a fm transmitter.
