90 Accord doesnt start when hot outside
I am helping a buddy work on his 90 Accord dx automatic. He says when it is hot outside, like over 90 degrees, his vehicle doesnt start. It wont crank at all, but when you go back and forth with the gears ie park to neutral, it wants to crank but nothing. So he has to wait until it cools off outside to start his vehicle. I have never heard of this problem. Can anyone help me figure out what it is.

Re: 90 Accord doesnt start when hot outside
Lots of threads on this. Probably the main (fuel) relay. A search would have been good.

Re: 90 Accord doesnt start when hot outside
That is a classic problem with Honda....It is called the Main Relay that is attached under the drivers side of the dash. Cast about $50 at the Auto part store....
I had the same problem last summer....once I repalced it, no more problems... Good luck |

Uh - yeah - if he didn't get that from that from what I posted 5 days ago, then he probably won't now!
