22RE Emissions Removal ?
Can You remove the vacuume lines on the valve cover, and throttle body of the 22RE ?
I need some more hood clearance, and thats about all thats stopping me is the vaccume lines. If I can just remove them and plug the holes. And leave the sensors unplugged from the wiring connectors. There are no emmissions laws, or smog testing where I live, so thats not a concern. Thanks Brad

Re: 22RE Emissions Removal ?
What have you changed that would require more hood clearance?

Re: 22RE Emissions Removal ?
What about having the hood modified for clearance? Removing the sensors or rendering them useless can affect performance with multiport fuel injection. The computer will not get the right signals for air/fuel mixture.

ya I understand that, I just wasent sure if the vac lines that were there, and the sensors were that important. On past vehicles, Ive actually dyno tested my car without the emissions, and with them, and found very little performance loss, or gains. I might just have to re-locate them with longer vac lines, and modify my hood inners.
