Need help Olds LSS 96

Check engine light comes on and gives code P0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor out of range. I have replaced the sensor and tested the old one test good. Check engine light still coming on and giving same code. Vehicle occassionally loses power and appears to be trying to find a gear. Traction control light comes on. What else could it be?
