Hello everyone,
I purchased the '65 Pontiac GTO from AMT yesterday. I discovered why it came cheap to the wallet. Whatever figures out as the suspension, drivetrain, and exhaust system is molded on the floor pan. What would be a good donor kit to upgrade this Pontiac. Resin is not worth the price of a new kit... Thanks Patrick |

AMT issued a '66 W30 Olds 442 in 1998,kit # 6298, and a 442 convt. kit # 6275 they should have a more detailed under carriage.
![]() Lindberg also issued a '66 Chevell SS396,kit #72181 I'm not sure of the scale differences with this one ![]() All of them are available at http://www.modelroundup.com/ The reason you're GTO does'nt have the current level of detail is that it was originally issued as an "annual" kit in 1965 and has been reissued in it's original tooling 7 times since '65! :bandit: Mike

It is a nice kit, it doesn't fit anywhere good, but with a lot of brute force and glue it will become pretty nice.
At least it has an engine, although also that one doesn't fit. and it comes with nice of wheels that don't want to stay on the axles without glue. But I think it isn't worth an upgrade kit, just buy a new kit which will look better and fits better than this one.. If I only knew back then... (yes I'm a "happy" buyer of that kit too ) But don't foget to build it, after all the hard and anoying work, you'll be very happy with very kit that actually does fit ![]() Greetz Stefan |
