Jeep model

Does any company make a jeep model? I've been looking for a while now and have come up with nothing.

Re: Jeep model

Welcome to AF. Tamiya made one, but it's probably discontinued now. Here's one on ebay...

Re: Jeep model

Which Jeep?

Tamiya made models of the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler.
Revell has kits out of the CJ7 and Wrangler.

Re: Jeep model

depends on what your want, there where alot of Jeep Models produced. here a short list of what I know was produced, most if not all are discountinued.

Tamiya did a Grand Cherokee and a Wrangler.

Lindberg made a Grand Cherokee in 1:20

Revell makes a CJ7, a Honcho, and the Tomb Raider Diecast TJ

and AMT/MPC made these, the Commander is "Coming soon" to be released in November

This one's a CJ-5

Daisy's Jeep

Hogans Hero Jeep WW2 era

and the soon to be rereissued Jeep Commander sorry best pic I can find

and finally Miasto's diecast TJ, its an odd skill though, 1:27

There are alot of jeeps in 1:35 for the military guys, but i'm not sure how many and the differences in them.

Re: Jeep model

And Hasegawa makes an awesome vintage military Jeep in 1/24 scale. There are resin vintage Jeeps out there but they're not easily found; I'm soon going to build a resin replica of my uncle's well-worn '62 Willys Jeep PU truck.

Re: Jeep model

Slightly OT, but didn't Lara Croft drive a Land Rover in the movies or something? Her being Brit etc.

Has there been a 1/24 Land Rover produced? These are real classic vehicles.

Re: Jeep model

Revell also produced the Jeep CJ7 with a Suzuki bike. I know because I have built it many moons ago. In fact my dad did most of it since I was not very skilled at that time.

In the second movie, she drove a Jeep, but in the first one I think she drove a Land Rover Defender...

Thumbs up Re: Jeep model

Thanks guys, I like this site, fast responses.

I think I am going to try to find the tomb raider one (if i cant find a plastic "tj" model) and see if I can lift it and find some wheels and tires[I hope some company makes model super swamper tires] for it(I doubt I will be able to lift it with my skills) and paint it yellow so that it looks like my jeep.

Thanks for the help
-Matt
