Can anyone tell me if it is possible to do the following swap.
I have a 2000 sub new body style. I want to put a 2004-05 silverado front end. Just the fenders, hood, lights, grill, and bumber. Can someone tell be if this is possible without cutting? Will it fit as a direct bolt-on replacement. I have seen the kits for the Escalade swap, but I want a silverado front end. Thanks to anyone who can help! |

Re: front end swap out
Well to all of you who looked at this and didn't reply, Thank you.
As for the swap I'm pretty sure it can be done. I was driving down the highway last week and saw a Chevy Sub with the late 99-06 style silverado(GMT800 series) front end. The license plate was from Mexico. Maybe the models down there are different then ours here in the USA. Again if anyone can confirm this please let me know. Thanks |

Re: front end swap out
sure enough. as far as I know, everything bolts up. My brother switched his old 2000 silverado to the 2003 front clip with no problems, but it was wrecked, and required ALL new parts.
As for me, I'm putting the 2006 silverado SS front clip on my 2005 tahoe sometime next week after I get it back from the frame shop. I'll let you know exactly what has to be done. The only thing.... I don't want a bunch of these running around!!! I'm doing mine so it'll be unique...plus it just looks killer! |
