Is this a good plan

I'm 17 5'6 and 165 pounds and wanna get down into the 135-140 pounds range by November or December since its starts raining over here and I won't be able to workout as much. I was wondering if this is a good plan to lose the weight by then.
Diet-1500 calories a day and healthy foods with fruits as snacks
1st Day
Morning-2 mile run
Afternoon/night- 20 minute Jog
2nd Day
Morning-2 mile run
Jump Rope 15 minutes
Afternoon/Night 2 mile walk
and I wanna repeat this schedule during the week.
Is there any other Cardio excercises I could add to improve my weight loss and help it go faster? Keep in mind I don't have a bike and no access to a gym or weights.
thanks

Re: Is this a good plan

you don't wanna drop the weight too quick cuz that can be unhealthy, but you pretty much got it down. cardio exercise a few times a week (i'd say 3-4 days of what you plan to do) with healthy eating and lower, but adequate amounts of calories. I dunno about 1500 calories though. You're 17 and still growing so you may be able or need to add another 100-200 calories to your diet.

I think I'm bumping it up to 1700 calories and doing the routine Monday through Friday. Anyone know what the normal weight for me would be?

the "estimated average" weight for your age, assuming you're a male, and a few inches less than your height is around 134, according to my college human nutrition book (everyone in america should take one of these classes if they haven't). I think your goals are just fine regarless of your gender type.

Re: Is this a good plan

I'd up the calories a bit. I mean you should take in a little over 2000 otherwise your body is going to go in survival mode. Try empty stomach cardio. Don't eat or drink anything (except water) and do your cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. By then all the food in your stomach will be digested and you'll be running off of fat reserves.

Re: Is this a good plan

Read the FAQs on weight loss, definantly bump up the calories you take in. IN the FAQ there are equations to figure out about how much you use during a day, eat 500 less, that is the way to lose a lb a week, safely.

jumping rope and jogging are two great cardio exercises. Swimming is good too. Riding a bike doesn't burn nearly as many calories per hour as the aforementioned.
