Re: Headers And Exhaust

I would recommend pacesetter 4-2-1 if you have 2.2 and 4-1 if you have 2.4 for the header, and you cant go wrong with magnaflow for the rest of the exhaust.

Re: Headers And Exhaust

Pacesetter dosn't make a 4-2-1... they only make 4-1 for eco, 2.4, 2200... your only choice are engine, Painted or armor coated.

OBX makes the 4-2-1 for the 2200 but the stainless steel tubing they use is wicked thin and junk. I've seen one first hand. RKsport makes 4-2-1 for the 2.4 but your going to pay out the ass for it. I think they also make one for the eco.. but don't hold me to that.

Magnaflow parts are great quality, but if you get their circular straight through fart can style make sure you use a good size resonator. Other wise they sound like shit when you have an after market header.

Re: Headers And Exhaust

or you could by 2 headers, and leave 1 in your garage, and when ppl say what you have you can say headers...and when they correct you, you can show them your second set...lol

Re: Headers And Exhaust

got an idea, going ot go with a 4-1 and the seperate the pipes at the collector and run them into a second header that is streached out and then go with a 4-2-1 and get rid of the one and run two pipes to the back.

AKA headers and true duals.

Man i am immature

Re: Headers And Exhaust

WTF??!?!?!?!!?! what is going on with thread direction here?

anyhow the pacesetter ceram coat is your best bang for buck. unless you've done a heavy amount of other tuning a 4-2-1 wont make any difference over a 4-1 and you're gonna end up losing some more low end on a 4-2-1 and that'll drive you insane if it's a daily driver. also the Pacesetter cat-back despite only costing me $300 cdn, every pic of a pacester cat-back has a resonator. the 2.4 system don't. it sounds good except between 3000-4500 rpm where it get's raspy and then up all you can hear is the WAI. a nice resonator will possibly go on mine if i keep the cav
