injectors

I found a jdm zc <---what it is advertized as) intake manifold, says it has low impedence injectors, so what harness would I have to get to do the mpfi swap on my 89 dpfi 1.5 std hatch? and will i have to run a resistor box? also what ecu would i have to use

Re: injectors

you should just modify your std harness and yeah you need a resistor box. If you do a search on here or honda-tech there are literally hundreds of threads for mpfi conversion.

Re: injectors

You need to do the mpfi swap as stated above, and you should use a SI PM6 ECU with an injector resistor box. Grab these parts off any 88-91 civic/crx SI. You need to rewire your harness at the ecu and at the injectors/resistor, then hook up new intake... done.
PS dont forget to take your old plastic intake and pound it to death with a sledge hammer, piss on it, crap on it, then throw it out...

I like the way you think.

Just for reference:

Peak & Hold aka Low impedance
Saturated aka High impedance

You will always run an injector resistor box with Peak & Hold/Low impedance type injectors. Nothing else matters. It doesn't matter what year the car is, what obd the engine is, what obd the ecu is.
Technically, you don't even need the box. All that's in there is four 6 ohm resistors. You can pick them up at an electronics store and solder them inline to save a few bucks.

Re: injectors

Oh and just to add to the shopping list... you need to get an HF/SI distributor and replace it with your STD one. So an ecu, resistor box, and dizzy can be pretty damn expensive..try not to pay over 100 for all these parts. If you do spend over 100 you could damn well pick up a single cam ZC for like 350 instead... So IMO dont put too much money into making your D15B1 fast...cause a D15 wasnt never meant to go fast...and will NEVER go fast.
