Carburetor question

I have a 1985 accord with a carbureted engine. Ihave a carb from a 1982 accord and it looks identical but does carry a different number. Does anyone know what the differences are and if I could use the 82 on my 85?
Thanks

Re: Carburetor question

1.8L Accord motor came with 3bbl Keihin Carbs. 80 through 83 uses different size jets than ones from 84-85. But the float and the body sizes are the same. Your car should run without a problem if you use the one from 82. Just make sure to set your mixture a bit on the rich side.

Re: Carburetor question

Oh forgot the mention, if you live in california you might have some issues if you swap a carb, but I doubt that they will check that detail.
