Gto -

I always drop by here once or twice a year to see how things are shaping up. Last time I browsed through I don't think I actually posted anything, so I might as well post something now...

I'm doing some work for a performance shop involving design. I was asked to go in to sketch up some ideas for a 1969 GTO, but done up with modern style. I wanted to get a feel for the old GTO before going into the shop to get all of the details, so I did some sketching to the lines down comfortable.

Here's the Photoshop I did of what I'd expect to do by hand (markers/pastels) when I get there:

And the original hand sketch:

BTW, I doubt anyone remembers me, but I used to frequent these boards. I've been into car design for a few years, but I draw and paint other things more often than automotives. For the work that I do that is automotive-related, it is mostly marker renderings and other conceptual sketches, but I can also do up some photorealism for fun.

Any commentary?

Re: Gto -

Looks good. Just something I noticed on the rendering though - either there's too much reflected light in the lower part of the side of the car, or the contrast is too high, making the car look like brushed silver instead of glossy paint. Maybe that was the look you were going for, I'm not sure, but it looks good anyway
