Big Problem
I was changing my camshaft interrupter magnet and my gasket sliped on my timing cover when putting it back on and it blocked the oil pump oil flow and I had to take it all back apart, but now the real clincher, i dont know if i damaged my motor by running it approx 1min(maybe more than that) of total runtime on and off without oil but never more than 30sec at a time. Its lifters are tapping real bad cuz they dont have any oil. So when I correct the gasket problem and fill the oil filter with oil i will have to try again with the cranksensor disconnected so i can crank the motor without having it running. So do you think i damaged the motor?????

Re: Big Problem
I doubt it...if you ran it for a total of a minute, it probably didn't hurt anything. I've heard of people forgetting to put oil back in after an oil change and running it for several miles (before their engine siezed, of course)...but that still means that it took quite a while before any real damage happened.
I've never had this happen to myself, but I think you should be OK.
