1996 f150 xlt

just bought this truck it has 159,000 miles on it just wondering do these trucks have any problems.

Lots... some are really bad others are not. All depends on the factory they come out of.. Different factory's different issues.

I mean any normal mechanical problems sensors, lights, engine problems. because I've looked through the threads and haven't found anything.

Ohh.. well in that case.. They tend to get Electrical gremlins.. From what I've seen it's usually lights and gauge cluster.
Mechanically I've heard of them just losing power suddenly..
Eating Transmissions....
and randomly blowing rear diffs (I think there's a story behind that)
Personally I'd go to the dealership, and ask about all Technical service bullitens on them.
