98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lighting Problem
I have a 98 Jeep grand cherokee and the headlights won't turn Off. I have the daytime running lights and for some reason the high beams have come on and now they won't turn off, even when the key is out of the ignition.
Any ideas?

Re: 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lighting Problem
Try removing the fuses that power the headlights. Clean it off (the fuse and the socket) just to be safe and either put the fuse back in. If it doesnt fix the problem, try putting in a new fuse. When you test to see if it works, make sure the light swith is in the "off" position and the high beam is disengaged, when the car is off even if it looks like its still on. Turn the car on and let it cycle through and if it still doesnt work, you may have a break in the lint and the light thinks that your telling it to stay on. If this is the case, then you may need to take it to a professional or sombody who knows about electrical enegneering in cars (a friend who is or knows an electrician perhaps). If none of this works Im sorry, Im just writing what I would do. If you wamt more details, PM me and Id be glad to help.
PS, there was a thread about the same thing that happend, only the interior lights stayed on. It was about a month ago, so look back a few pages and see if you cant find it.
