Question 1997 Park Avenue traction control and Anti locks brakes

I have two weird things going on with my 97 PA both are happening on dry pavement.

1. When I accelerate from a standing start the traction control kicks in. My tires still has good traction and are not slipping. I turned off the traction control and it still does it. It doesn't do it all the time though.

2. When I apply my brakes to stop the anti-locks brakes kick in. I am on dry pavement again and not sliding. I am not trying to stop quickly but in just a normal manner.

Both of these problem happen together when it does and they don't do it together when it's not doing it either. So I suspect it is something common to both the traction control and and anti-locks brakes system.

Has anyone have any suggestions for me so I don't have to take it to the Buick dealer.

Phil

Needs to be scanned on an abs function scanner for codes and wheel speed sensor inputs.

Yeah, something is making the ABS and TCS controller think a wheel is out of speed with the rest. A scan will help determine which wheel, the it will need to be determined if it is a bad sensor, relucter ring or other physical damage/ misalignment.

An experienced tech with an abs function scanner can dig into this.

My advise> The Dealer on this. Why? Lessons learned on owning a 98 PAU.
