95 Blazer Oil Pressure Gauage
My Blazer has 153K on it. I drive it 60 miles a day to work...highway..but in stop and go traffic most of the time. I've noticed my oil pressure guage is moving around like my tachometer. Not sure why this is happening. My pressue is up when I first start it up and drive. As the engine warms up, that's when I begin seeing my pressure drop. When it's idle, the pressure drops, then moves up when I accelerate. Any one have any thoughts as to why this is happening? Anything I need to be concerned with?

Re: 95 Blazer Oil Pressure Gauage
Most likely you have a bad oil pressure sending unit, It's a pretty common problem on our trucks...

Engine oil pressure varies with engine rpm seeing the oil pump runs off of the distributor gear. You are completely normal, it is supposed to do that.
