Caravan Wobble/Noise

I have a 1994 Caravan and have been reading about the various clunks, noises, etc. A few years ago, I had the tranny replaced. Immediately after, probably within a few days, the front end started wobbling, and making a nise and feeling just like a flat tire. It is only on the left hand side, and usually occurs only during a right turn. I've had it in to a few different places, and even to the shop that did the tranny work, nobody finds anything. Once in a while you do get a clunk in the left front, sounds like something loose. I'm worried about someday having something just snap and causing a big accident.

Any ideas?

Re: Caravan Wobble/Noise

it sounds like the cv joints to me, in the drive shaft between the trans and the left front wheel. The cv or constant volosity joints are inside the big rubber boots.( dont know how much you know about cars) If you had it checked I would think that would be the first place to look at. I would jack the front end, put it on jack stands and have an assistant start it up , with the wheels off the ground and put it in drive while you are under with a flash light. If a drive shaft is noisy and is bouncing around, consider replacing them. Let me know how you make out.

I would also check the motor mounts and trans mount to confirm they are not broken. Its hard to tell unless you pry the engine and or tranny back and fourth with a crow bar or something.
