Re: wheel help

Yes it would hurt your times if you went with 18s. More rotational mass = more parasitic loss. I'd stay with 17s, and drop it if the wheel gap bothers you.

I personally think bronze rims would look ugly on most colors, so...what color do you have?

sorry Igo, couldnt resist.

bronze on white....you might be able to get away with a simple 5-spoke wheel. All a matter of personal prefrence though. I think something sort of like the ones in my sig. only bronze.

Re: wheel help

Yeah I missed that somehow. Sad, I even reread it to check if he mentioned it. Guess it's time for a coffee! White is one of hte few colors you could get away with bronze. Might be cool. A nice feature tirerack has, is it allows you to enter your car, and then try different wheels and colors on it. You probably wont find the exact wheels you want, but you could at least use it, or even photoshop to get an idea of how it would look.

Re: wheel help

don't go with bronze man, your car'll look like a caramel sunday (ewwww). Blink's got some nice Black cobra replica's and I love the cobra replicas that I have on my z, I say go with something along the lines of that. If you go for black or bronze though, go black, there's a reason why alot of people have them.

Re: wheel help

I'd personally go with 18s. We have a pretty decent size wheel gap and even when dropped, 17s don't really cover everything. But I guess if you're worried about performance than I could see why you'd go with 17s. Here are the ones I love and want so bad but they don't have 18s, only 19s and 19s are definitely too big for me: http://www.forperformance.com/rays/w...gressivte.html
oohnoo and tfw a-ok over at 3si has 'em and they look awesome!!!!! Gosh I wish they made 18s...

It works awesome. I personally think it is the reason Matt Monett has put so many cars in teh 10s and even broke into the 9s...his white wheels
In all seriousness, it can look good. I'm not a huge fan of white wheels, but if you are going to have them, I think they only work on a white car, my friend has white wheels for his black jetta, and I think they look stupid. Then again, it's a trekstar with a roofrack...white wheels might not be the problem

haha ok good, so im not alone on this. I am really considering putting white wheels on. one thing i have found is that you have to get just the right wheels in order to keep that nice sporty look to the GT. If anyone has done this already or has found some relatively cheap white wheels please let me know!
