cherokee or 4runner
im am curious as to know what is better at offroading. an early 90's 4runner, or jeep cherokee? assuming both are stock.

That's easy, the coil sprung solid axle XJ Cherokee will out wheel a torsion-bar IFS vehicle like the 86+ 4Runners.
Yeah, I said Jeep. I had an XJ, so I know.

well for rock crawling hte jeeps are nice come with very sturdy straight axles in nicer models last a long time and are durable toyota 85 and earlier 4runners are awsome removable top straight axle with a super reliable but not very stong 4 cylinder. now for a ifs the 98 and up 4 runners are awsome. pretty much cant go wrong.
