Infinity System

Hey, im trying to find the wattage and ohms that go into the front speakers/tweeters. mine just blown and me and my friend thought about buying 3in ones and making room for them, but we need to know the wattage so they dont blow either. it's a '99 with the infinity system, obviously.

thanks!

Re: Infinity System

Factory tweeters are 4 ohms. They should be able to handle 30-40 watts.

Re: Infinity System

All 4 door speakers have blown out on my 98 GC. I removed them and used yellow door weather seal rubber adhesive to repair them.

It appears that the cones become detached from the frame around the circumference. I placed the speaker magnet side down and laid a bead of adhesive around the circumference and let it dry. The adhesive flowed evenly.

The result was the speakers worked as new.
