The new Malibu 2007

I am considering to buy a new Malibu in Israel.
For the moment there are only 2006 models available here.
Does anyone knows when the new 2007 models will be available?
Can anyone detail all the changes in the 2007 malibu?
Should i wait for the 2007 models?

When available in Israel might be a bit different than when available in the U.S.

I figure you might not get all available models in your market. Biggest change I can think of for 2007 is that the 3.5L V6 is updated to newer version, same displacement but now has Variable Valve Timing and a HP increase. If you have Maxx body style available to you that body style has hydraulic power steering for the 2007 with the 3.5L V6.

I think a compass optional in inside rear view mirror - before it was just the electrochromatic option.

the Maxx is not available in Israel.

For the Malibu, does anybody know if there will be any exterior/interior chages?

I see that Chevy web site now showing 2007 model information so you might want to look there again.

There are also changes to the airbag system - specifically, the addition of a front passenger sensing unit and certain trim levels have changes to the airbag packages, which I haven't figured out quite yet. Otherwise, only color changes (in addition to the changes already posted).

Yeah I kind of forgot about the passenger sensing system. That will finally replace the Malibu logo next to hazard switch.

I also saw what I think is an error with respect to steering system type - I passed that along
