Failed uni course, you won't believe why

I'll keep it short.

3 subjects per semester (6 total) make up my degree (for 3 years).

I failed 1/3 last semester.

My last assignment was a data/audio project, submission was simple: Burn an audio CD of my piece, and burn the data to a CD to hand in.

I was told my audio CD was not "passable quality", and that my data cd had "no readable data", but I checked the CD on TWO differant machines and it worked fine, I got fucked over bad.

1) My audio piece was purely of samples taken (legally) from the university's computers from the program "Garage Band", I pieced random samples together etc blah blah and made my own piece, I even stated this isn my recording journal, how it isn't pasable quality is beyond me.

2) As I said, I checked the data on 2 differant mac machines and it worked fine, he's a fucking cunt.

I had a snap at him for it, he was a total cunt about the entire thing, now I can't do the next subject this next half of the year because my lecturer is a fucking prick.

If he maintains that he failed you because he couldn't get the disc to work and you can pop it in just about any machine and get it to play then I don't think there could be much debate on the matter.

I told him he should of contacted me if there was nothing on the CD or he couldn't open it, he responded by claiming that he marks what he is given and it isn't a true 'assesment' if students are able to fix things up, in my opinion I wouldn't be fixing anything, just re-submiting something that was faulty.

Assuming I can't even do that, I'm fucked either way, the uni authorities couldn't give a fuck, but I'm going to try with the dean when I go back next week.

first, if he is not the head of the department, go speak to the head.
second, if he is the head of the department, go see the head of the school (if you have one)
third, if he is both of these positions, go see the dean.

^ I agree. Seems like he's just bein an ass for the hell of it. Go to the higher authorities definitely. He gave you back the copy you handed in already? Was it CD-R or RW cuz if its R how can he say you "touched it up"?
