jdm--usdm likeness???

I just bought a 91 jdm crx sir. It is the real deal and i love it. It does however need a new windsheild and brakes could be replaced. Does anybody know for sure if brakes from a usdm crx si would fit. I have a new set of front and back brembo cross drilled rotors and axxis pads that i bought for my usdm 91 si but now want to put them on my jdm car. Will they fit excaxtly or are they a different size. I heard that the SIR brakes were bigger. Also, does anybody know where to find authentic JDM glass? Thnks. I will post pix of the car soon.

You don't want "JDM" glass. Just use the USDM crx glass. As for the brakes, the rears are the same, the front's im unsure of. Worst case scenario, they are the same brakes from 90-93 integra's.

Re: jdm--usdm likeness???

why don't I want JDM glass? The Jdm glass has a redish look to it. The USDM glass has a greenish look to it. I want the car to look and remain as JDM as possible. Tried to put the brakes on today. Rears fit, the front brakes were too small. I will try next week again. Back to the glass, if i get a USDM glass, then it will really look different. Also, it has the original gaters CD/tape deck. Do US cd's work on a japenese stereo or is my deck just messed up and thats why it's not working?

Japanese cd's are coded different, I believe.
It's up to you on the glass; have fun trying to locate glass from a JDM CRX. When you do find it, let me know how much shipping is on it....

The windshield is not red, it's bronze, and good luck finding one, and getting it shipped to you undamaged. Your choices of local glass will be green or blue, I just checked with all the major warehouses. Blue look the closes to clear though, so it wouldn't be too off from the rest of the car

Re: jdm--usdm likeness???

i think bambam is right the brakes are prob the same as 90-93 integra. As for the glass jus get usdm and tint the windows to 35% itll draw the attention away from the windshield and be harder to notice.

Re: jdm--usdm likeness???

yea, i guess you're right abou the glass. I just like how different it is. I can honestly say that this crx I WILL be keeping. As for the brakes, I am having a race shop do them, if they are the wrong size again, they will just keep ordering parts untill they find the right ones and keep the others in their stock. I do not have time to mess with it. I have a 91 crx si that I need to sell asap. Timing belt slipped and suppoably it needs a new head. It might but i have not gotten positive confirmation on that. I don't want this to sound like a classified but.... i will put in classified anyway.

Re: jdm--usdm likeness???

So even the JDM windshield's have a bronze tint to them? That's news to me... Now if it were any other window I could see wanting to stay JDM, but if the only problem is the w/s, just get a USDM... No one will ever know the difference...

As for the brakes, I'm with bambam on this. I'm sure the '90-93 'teg brakes are the same as the SiR's. If not, I've seen JDM SiR (front) brakes on eBay quite a bit. So they're not too hard to find.
