Can anyone identify this car for me

Hi, I'm planning on making a diorama for a miami vice episode and these are the best images I could take form the first series. I'm talking about the police car on the left hand side in the first photo. I can't make out what it is, it looks like a Dodge or the badge like an old jeep. Can anyone tell me, also is there a model available. I can get some of the badges for a set by policecarmodels.com and the others I could make. Thanks for any help.

You can see in the third picture, it's a Plymouth Gran Fury. Look on the right side of the trunk lid.

Re: Can anyone identify this car for me

All those old 70's/80's boxed style American cars look the same to me. That car looks just like the old caprice cop cars to me.

Re: Can anyone identify this car for me

I think the more important issue here is: What class are you taking that warrants you making a Miami Vice diorama???

Re: Can anyone identify this car for me

I use to have a 85 Grand Prix beater that looked just like that car but yeah, Impala's and Caprice are basically the same car..

Re: Can anyone identify this car for me

It's going to be a sort of present for my dad he's always been a huge fan of the show and I watched it with him on Men n Motors and I thought it was great so I thought that I would do this for him and for myself. I can't find any models of this car, can you suggest something else taht would look similar that I could use as being in England I know very little about old American cars. Thanks

Re: Can anyone identify this car for me

As was stated before, all the fleet cars from the 70's/80's (Chevy Caprice and Ford Crown Victoria mainly) looked pretty much the same. You could have switched em out on the cops between trips to the donut shop and they wouldn't have even noticed
