Re: Who know this car??

the wheels are straight off a bmw 507 from the 60's. the car itself is way too american looking to be made in germany in the 60's. What's the logo on the leading edge of the bonnet?

Re: Who know this car??

It is a BMW. From what I can gather it’s the 1954 507 sport coupe prototype. There is practically no info on the car.

Re: Who know this car??

That is only the second BMW like that i have ever seen, i have a neigbor around the corner that has one almost identical to that, he has a very hard time finding any parts and pretty much has to have them made or does it himself. I showed him the pics before i replied and he literally drooled. he wanted to know if it was for sale. he said he would easily give $25,000 for it regardless of shape.

Re: Who know this car??

I know this car-it is a custom BMW 507,chassis was supplied to designer Raymond Loewy, body built in Paris for him,BMW had nothing to do with car.At last report, the car was in storage at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles- chassis number is 70024,making it a 57 model year. Opinion- It is just as ugly as it always was. Enthusiasts of real 507s please feel free to ask questions, a 507 expert will answer. Thanks,Barry McMillan,[email protected]
