This site has a couple of good DIY repairs/upgrades for later model Grand Marquis (4.6L equipped models mainly). I have now personally replaced 2 roptured 4.6L intake manifolds (my '97 GM and my Dad's '96 Cougar). The instructions these guys have on manifold replacement would have been helpful.

Thanks to A.F. and this thread I was able to install an intake manifold on my mom's 2000 Grand Marquis today with no problems encountered.

So anyway, I go pick mom's car for a Sat. morning wash and gas fill-up. Then I decide to take it out on the edge of town so it can get up to highway speed. That's when it happened, I looked in the mirror and my rolling fog machine was born. I picked the part up at my favorite Federated parts store.
