Question Which part 1st?

Okay im lookin at a set of Pacesetter headers for around 200 bucks and a Hypertech HyperPac for around 800 bucks...I would have to wait 6 weeks for the HyperPac and wait on headers or buy the headers and wait 8 weeks for the HyperPac. Which would be better to buy first performance wise???

HyperPac +80hp gain-800$
vs.
Pacesetter Headers 25hp+gain-200$

Re: Which part 1st?

I would get the headers first so it can breath better. It is better to get the motor ready for mor power first, then worry about the hyperpac.

I'm sure he could get 25 horses out of a pair of longtube headers. (If they are the longtubes he's talking about.) Especially a good tune to utilize that flow.

On a V6???
Most LS1's don't even gain that.

Re: Which part 1st?

Oh yeah, good point. I didn't think about it being a V6. And now that I think about it, 25hp is kind of a stretch for just headers. Sorry, I had to work early this morning.

Re: Which part 1st?

GReddy? They make stuff for domestics? I thought they were an import brand? Are you sure that type of turbo would fit? I didn't know they had a domestic line.
$250 for a turbo kit sounds extremely cheap. I'd do some more research if I were you. I know banks makes good turbos. You could always look into STS rear-mount turbos. I know people have mixed emotions regarding those though.
When I think of GReddy, I think of wide body kits, neons, and fart cannons. Rice brand only.

Re: Which part 1st?

Wouldn't fit.
Plus...there is a LOT more than just a turbo and a intercooler to run a set-up like that.

Re: Which part 1st?

well i know theres alot more than just those two things, things like blow-offs and wastegates and other stuff....I know a guy who has a rear mounted T3/T4 so i know it will fit. The turbo is on Ebay Stores. Also its Garrett not Greddy (my bad).

Re: Which part 1st?

heres what you do, you contact abbott racing and get the N/A cam, stage 3 heads, ported intakes, and ask Lance for everything else necessary with those
