Electrical Conundrum - Is it possible?

I have a '02 Windstar and a '03 Taurus. They both have power windows that work for a certain time after turning the ignition off until you open the doors. The windstar's radio works during the same time. Is it possible to make the Taurus' radio do the same? Does this make sense?

Pretty much anything is possible, the deciding factor is usually if it is practical.

Power windows, etc. probably work during the same key positions as the radio. If the delayed exit circuit has enough circuit protection for the added load, I would expect that you could tie the switched radio power (not memory backup power) into the delayed entry feed for the power windows. On my Taurus, the power moonroof was also tied in to the delayed exit circuit. I suspect that the fuse rating for a Taurus with the moonroof is the same as that for one without the moonroof, so I would expect that you could add the radio onto the circuit without much difficulty. I'll leave that verification up to you though.

Before tacking such a task, you will want to thoroughly review the wiring diagram for the Windstar and the Taurus. I believe the delayed exit is controlled via the Generic Electronic Module (GEM). You may want to start in that section.
