cleaning metal hobby files

Didn't see anything in the FAQ or Search that pertained to this particular question. So, What is the best way to clean hobby files, (metal ones)? I have some that have debris in them (read: dried putty)

Re: cleaning metal hobby files

There are two effective ways I know of....

Dremel with a wire brush in it or soak the file in lacquer thinners.

Re: cleaning metal hobby files

I have a bad habit of wiping them on my jeans, and I have one very threadbare pair of jeans to show for it...
